To be successful in this course, we recommend you have:

  • Working knowledge of DC electric circuits 
  • Boolean logic knowledge 
  • Familiarity with personal computers 

Upon successful completion of this course, you'll be able to:

  • identify the various Logix platforms and their components
  • identify the various ControlLogix components
  • create a project using the Studio 5000 software
  • configure I/O in a Studio 5000 application
  • create a logic routine using basic instructions and programming techniques
  • modify and add logic in a Studio 5000 application online
  • add meaningful descriptors and comments to a Studio 5000 application
  • demonstrate the use of the timer and counter instructions in a Studio 5000 application
  • demonstrate how to use One Shot, Rising and Falling Edge Instructions
  • convert and move data in a Logix 5000 application.
