Overview
For electrical workers preparing to challenge the Red Seal Construction Electrician exam and engineers or technologists seeking to expand their industry expertise, this course offers a structured review of electrical code and applied theory. Covering electrical code, applied theory, and material from all four years of electrical apprenticeship, it reinforces essential skills while providing a deeper understanding of electrical systems, safety standards, and technical applications.
While this course is not a substitute for apprenticeship training, it acts as a focused refresher for those preparing for the Red Seal exam, and a structured way for engineers and technologists to strengthen their understanding of electrical systems. By emphasizing industry standards, safety practices, and technical applications, it provides the expertise to confidently apply electrical concepts in real-world settings and, for those pursuing certification, ensures a strong foundation for exam success.
This course is ideal if you:
- are eligible to challenge the Red Seal Construction Electrician exam and want a structured review before writing it
- are an engineer or technologist wanting to refresh your knowledge of electrical code, applied theory, and industry best practices
- are seeking a focused preparation course rather than a full apprenticeship program.
To succeed in this course we recommend you clearly understand the Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT) eligibility requirements needed to apply to write the Red Seal Construction Electrician certification exam.
