Overview
Construction Estimating Bids and Contracts focuses on the bid and tendering process and the contract documents used across construction projects.
In this course, you’ll examine common construction contract types and their functions, along with how bids are structured and evaluated in both public and private sectors. You’ll develop a deeper understanding of residential, commercial, civil, and industrial construction documents, including the role and importance of specifications and drawings. The course also explores the bidding process in detail, covering how to formulate accurate bids for different project types and how to review and respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
Interactive, self-paced online learning provides practical tools and resources you can apply immediately to real-world projects. You’ll gain hands-on experience using Bluebeam construction software while completing coursework and assessments, supported by weekly virtual drop-in sessions with your instructor and peers.
By the end of the course, you’ll be prepared to analyze bid documents, conduct rejected bid analyses, and understand the full tendering process for government and private contracts.
This course is ideal if you:
- are an estimator or project manager looking to strengthen skills in commercial construction estimating and budgeting
- want to use Bluebeam to create estimates and manage digital construction documents.
