This construction project management certificate program is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge to excel in construction management.
Each course in this program will cover key aspects of construction management including:
- managing projects
- working with plans and specifications
- contracts
- building codes
- high-performance residential design and construction practices and workplace safety.
You’ll have access to real-world learning experiences and expert support via email from industry-certified SAIT instructors, all while enjoying the convenience of learning online.

Program outline
To successfully complete this certificate, you are required to complete six mandatory courses. Courses may be completed in any order.
Required courses & electives
How to register for this certificate
Once you have registered for any course offered in this certificate, you will be automatically eligible to complete the certificate. You will have up to three years to complete this program. You may track your progression by signing in to your Continuing Education student account.
Certifications and professional designations
Upon successful completion of all the required courses in this certificate program, you’ll receive an electronically issued SAIT Certificate of Achievement and transcript.
You’ll be able to self-print a proof of completion document from your Continuing Education student account. Please note parchments are not issued for individual courses.
Some of the individual courses in this program may be eligible for training hours or professional development units toward industry certifications such as:
- Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training’s (AIT) Achievement in Business Competencies (Blue Seal) program
- The Canadian Construction Association's Gold Seal Certification program.
Additional education, exams and/or work experience requirements may apply.
Costs
This program consists of six mandatory courses with varying fees. Fees include access to all course-related materials and resources found in Brightspace (D2L).
