Overview
Operations Management is the transformation of goods or services from one state to another to add value for a customer. In this course, you will explore the basic and essential aspects of this field of study at the tactical level.
Topics covered include quality management programs, how operations management strategies are linked with goods and service processes within facilities to achieve a competitive advantage, and the importance of a forecast and its process. Additionally, you will also gain an understanding of resource management and operations scheduling in the context of your organization.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.
We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
