Overview
In this course, you'll learn to apply advanced electrical design and drafting concepts to industrial installations, including distribution and branch circuits. Electrical code requirements are discussed in conjunction with the design project, and drawings are completed using AutoCAD Release 2000 and an Auto Electric software package.
The course topics covered include:
- hazardous location classification
- hazardous location installation
- Canadian Electrical Code and industrial design calculations
- artificial and high-resistance grounding
- industrial electrical design project
You must complete DSGN 001 - Electrical Design - Level I before you can register for this course and provide proof of completion by emailing Continuing Education Advising.
