About the camp
Ready to be a welder? This camp is the next step in your welding journey as you dive into more advanced concepts, projects, and techniques. You will explore everything this skilled trade has to offer and develop skills that you can take into a career in welding and beyond.
Notes and requirements
Prerequisites:
- Campers must have previously taken Welding Introduction and Intermediate camps or have taken welding classes at school to register in this camp.
Dress code requirements:
- All campers are required to wear canvas-free, closed-toe shoes with good tread. No sandals or open-toe shoes are permitted in the shop. Steel-toe boots are preferred but not required.
- Long pants are required to be worn in the shop; no shorts, capris, low-cut tops, or loose clothing that could get caught in power tools.
- Clothes that can get dirty are preferred.
- Campers with long hair should ensure they bring hair elastics to tie back their hair.
Safety:
- Eye and face protection will be provided.
- Campers are required to adhere to the safety precautions outlined by the instructors; safety infractions may lead to removal from the program.
Campers will bring home oversized items.
