Overview

In this course, you'll learn about the impurities found in fresh and salt-water sources, and the treatment methods and facilities needed to produce potable drinking water. You'll develop your understanding of the connate water produced with oil, including its treatment and re-injection into the producing formation to maintain reservoir pressure.

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • describe water sources, impurities and treatment facilities
  • describe wastewater treatment and disposal
  • discuss impurities in produced water
  • describe the treatment and disposal of wastewater.
