This course is an overview of compressor drivers and their installation, start-up and maintenance. We'll explore routine preventive maintenance for reciprocating compressors while discussing lubricating systems and lubricant types for moving parts.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to describe:

  • driver types and reciprocating compressor maintenance
  • compressor driver types and operations
  • valves and rod packing
  • lubrication principles and application.
