Leading Beyond Any Title: Letting Go: Leading Without Micromanaging

02 October 2026

Presented by: Jennie Gilbert and Bryce Watters

Most leaders don’t intend to micromanage, but under pressure, it can become a default response. This session helps leaders recognize the habits that undermine trust and ownership while building the confidence to step back more intentionally. Learn practical strategies to set clear expectations, strengthen accountability, and empower others to perform at their best.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
