Course Description

An introduction to woodworking principles with an emphasis on the care and use of hand and power tools

In this cabinet making course you will learn how to select, use and maintain the appropriate tools for your projects, including woodworking hand tools and the safe operation of common power saws. You'll be able to distinguish common lumber species, select and use woodworking fasteners and adhesives, and you'll leave with an understanding of shop drawing basics.
