As we count down to the new year, we’re adding up some of the moments from 2022 worth reliving.

1. We were named among the best business and hospitality management schools in the world. 👏
2. We partnered to help rebuild a fire-ravaged region in British Columbia. 🏠
3. We eagerly watched as a Culinary Arts grad dished out a gold-medal performance at WorldSkills. 🥇

This year, Calgary topped LinkedIn’s list of cities with the fastest pace of technology workforce growth at a rate of 2.2% over 12 months. Even better? SAIT was named one of the top schools in Canada producing the most tech talent.
4. We cheered on our community of changemakers and their big ideas — from introducing more women to manufacturing to exploring the impact of extended reality in the classroom. 💭
5. We launched (and revamped) programs and courses to meet industry demand — including Healthcare Leadership, Python and Data Analytics, Railway Conductor, Culinary Diplomacy and Anthropology and the Cyber Security Analyst post-diploma certificate. 🚀

Saitsa, SAIT’s students’ association, celebrated 100 years of service with musical performances and events for students and community members.
6. We stood out as a top Canadian research college. 🏆
7. We received funding for green and cleantech research, and to create more opportunities in apprenticeships, culinary arts, aviation, film production and business administration. 🔬

This summer, we welcomed youth from Ukraine and Afghanistan to a very special summer camp.
8. We hosted a celebration for international students who achieved permanent resident status. 🍁
9. We celebrated Jay Westman’s announcement of an investment campaign to remove student barriers to a future in construction. 🔨
