Student leadership: Calling all students (in 2nd semester or higher)!

The LEADS Student Leadership program is accepting applications in many areas for the 2022/23 academic year. Commitment is 3-5 hours per week and comes with lots of perks, including: Co-Curricular credit, hands-on leadership experience and free professional development opportunities! Applications before the end of the winter term are highly encouraged.

Anti-racism essay contest

With the support of the Honourable Mayann Francis, the first Black lieutenant-governor of Nova Scotia and our guest speaker at the last Inclusion Talks event, SAIT is launching a student essay contest on anti-racism. Demonstrate your understanding of equity, diversity and inclusion — and share ideas for a better way forward — for a chance to win $500. The contest closes Sunday, May 15. Find out how to enter.

Networking opportunity — Calgary Black Chambers x School for Advanced Digital Technology

Join Calgary Black Chambers and the School for Advanced Digital Technology (SADT) for a social gathering on Thursday, March 24! Hosted at the historic Odd Fellows building downtown, the evening will feature a panel discussion about starting a career in tech, networking opportunities with professionals and fellow students, and an introduction to SADT.

Concerned about a classmate? Helping someone reach out for support can be an important conversation. Practice these conversations through at-risk gatekeeper training. Through this free online training, you'll learn to recognize common signs of distress, approach people with confidence and make effective referrals to campus resources.

Join SAIT’s Integrated Water Management program and the Centre for Affordable Water and Sanitation Technology (CAWST) to celebrate World Water Day on Tuesday, March 22, 10 am – 3 pm. Learn from a variety of experts about water protection and conversation, Alberta's groundwater resources and the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.
