‘Tis the season for compassion and care

We’re wrapping up 2022 with a reminder to take care as you cope with the excitement and expectations that come with the holidays.

This holiday season, gift yourself kindness and patience — set boundaries and don’t overextend your limitations.

Being mindful of your mental health (and the mental health of others!) is the perfect accessory to any holiday outfit — be it cozy sweatpants or a festive top. Whether your calendar is filling up with social gatherings or you’re looking forward to some down time, SAIT has resources to lend an emotional helping hand this holiday season.

Striving for positive mental health and well-being can help you thrive as a SAIT student, in your career and in life.

Take time to focus on your well-being by getting outside or snuggling with a furry friend to catch up on some sleep. If you’re not close to home, video call your chosen family or give back to the community through volunteering.

Watch one or more videos from the mindfulness playlist to restore some calm in your day. Or download headversity to build resilience when coping with stress and navigating difficult times.

Pop by a wellness event

📅 Let's Talk days are scheduled Dec. 7 and 14 so students can stop by to learn about counselling services, discuss concerns, and receive expert suggestions and support. There’s no appointment needed — first come, first served.

📅 Stop by the Saitsa Wellness Wednesday Pet-A-Puppy event for some seasonal snuggles on Wednesday, Dec. 7 from noon to 1:30 pm in the Reg Erhardt Library. PALS will supply the puppies, but you’ll have to BYOD (bring your own dopamine😉).
