Railway Conductor

Dreaming of becoming a railway conductor doesn't have to stop once you outgrow that blue and white striped cap. If you have good decision-making skills and are interested in moving, marshalling and switching rail cars, this program is for you.

Through online and in-person learning opportunities with visits to industrial sites and hands-on training in a private mini rail yard, you’ll learn the responsibilities of a conductor, operating procedures and the mechanical components of rail cars, air brake systems and more. 

The best part? Due to increased demand for the distribution of commodities, the railway industry is experiencing significant growth that will increase employment opportunities now and in the future.

Butchery and Charcuterie Management 

Get ready to savour success in the global hospitality industry! SAIT’s Butchery & Charcuterie Management teaches specialized skills in meat cutting, customer service and business management for a career as a business owner, butcher or meat inspector. 

During this full-time, one-year certificate, you’ll work in the latest facilities and gain practical skills in value-added butchery, curing and product creation methods.

Integrated Water Management 

Suppose you're interested in understanding how to preserve water-related ecosystems and want to create solutions for water issues — SAIT’s Integrated Water Management diploma program can help get you there. 

Using state-of-the-art equipment found in operational water treatment facilities, you’ll learn best practices in water management, how to safeguard human health and how to support economic activities related to water.

Professional Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems

Drones aren't just for aerial photography. They’re used for emergency responses, 3D mapping, agriculture and so much more. 

Through SAIT's 15-week Professional Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) program, you’ll learn about drone technology and become licensed according to Transport Canada's Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems guidelines.
