Get moving for 40 days of fitness
Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is important, but sometimes the difference between knowing you should exercise and eat well and actually doing it is the right motivation.
SAIT's 40 Days of Fitness Challenge offers the right motivation.
You get everything you need to complete this personal fitness challenge - access to unlimited bootcamp and fitness classes, guidance with an eating plan and personal wellness coaching. All you need to do is sign up to get started.
Create a new normal
Last year, continuing education student Elvira Olszanska was the most improved contestant overall and won the 40 Days of Fitness Challenge last winter.
Olszanska says her attitude about fitness changed significantly over the duration of the challenge.
"At first it was a chore," she says. "Now I do without thinking about it. It's like brushing your teeth every day, you just do it."
With a win under her belt and a new attitude about fitness, Olszanska is thankful for the decision she made to join the 40 Days of Fitness Challenge.
"It's not that expensive and what you get out of it is absolutely amazing, she says. "It's life changing. I would do it again over and over again."
Mix it up
Amanda Gill, Recreation and Marketing Program Coordinator, says the variety of sessions can also be a strong motivator.
"What is really positive is we have great facilities and on-trend classes - barre, Tabata and heated yoga," says Gill.
"It's a great way for staff to test out different workouts without committing to expensive classes and studios. And it really is for any level of fitness ability."
Participants will receive a 40 Days of Fitness T-Shirt, weekly wellness seminars, pre- and post-challenge fitness testing and body composition analysis. Each entrant will have a chance to win weekly prizes and a grand prize at the end of the challenge based on personal fitness accomplishments.
