Discover the theory of sound and learn how to work effectively with today's digital audio hardware and software. You'll learn how to prepare the environment, select and position microphones, interconnect equipment and record music and sounds and effectively process and modify those recordings using the latest digital technologies. You'll learn how to record, edit, apply digital signal processing, mix and master a variety of digital audio projects. Students must take eight courses in total; three mandatory courses plus four electives.
This certificate is also offered as a seven-week, full-time fast-track program during July and August each year.
