Applied Project Management Certificate of Achievement
View a short video on SAIT's Applied Project Management training.
Project Management skills and knowledge are essential in almost all work environments. Project Managers can be found in various fields from health care to telecommunications, manufacturing to information technology and construction to oil and gas.
Since its founding in 1969, the Project Management Institute (PMI®) has grown to be the organization of choice for project management professionals. PMI® serves practitioners and organizations with standards that describe good practices, globally recognized credentials that certify project management expertise, and resources for professional development, networking and community.
SAIT is a Global Registered Educational Provider. SAIT has been reviewed and approved as a provider of project management training by PMI®. The required courses are eligible for Professional Development Units (PDU's) toward your PMI® designation.
The Applied Project Management Certificate of Achievement program uses the widely accepted PMBOK® 5th Edition set of standards (Project Management Book of Knowledge). The program utilizes an integrated approach to addressing the key areas of project management scope, human resources, communication, time integration, cost, quality and risk and procurement.
It is recommended that students pursue the Certificate of Achievement by taking the courses in the order presented, but this is not mandatory. The elective courses can be taken on a variety of dates and times in any order. A minimum of 144 hours with three electives are required for this Certificate.
These courses are suitable for preparing for the PMI® Project Management Professionals (PMP®) exam and the PMI® Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) exam.
