Richard Stroobant is a member of the teaching Faculty at SAIT. He currently instructs a variety of courses with a main focus on audio production as part of the Radio, Television, and Broadcast News program. Mr. Stroobant has been nominated by his students on a number of occasions for Instructor Excellence Awards. He was also awarded an Excellence Award from the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development from the University of Texas in 2013. Richard is an active member of the SAIT community, and has conducted a number of formal and informal courses with faculty on the use of mobile technology in the classroom.
Prior to joining the faculty team at SAIT, Richard was an active member in the broadcast industry, spending most of his 25-year career in the Calgary area. Notably, he was a multi-award winning producer with CJAY 92 for almost 20 years. Richard is well respected in industry, and continues to foster strong relationships locally, nationally and internationally.
His education includes a diploma in Radio from SAIT, and a variety of specialized training in both industry and education.
